what we believe

We uphold

We uphold the beliefs and traditions of the greater Episcopal Church, of which we are a member.

we profess

We profess the faith of the Nicene Creed: “We believe in one God,” “We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God,” “We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,” and “We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.” These beliefs are based in trust and love, connecting us with Christians over many centuries. We hold space for doubt, questions, and even our unbelief.

we affirm

We affirm the full equality and inclusion of women and LGBTQ+ individuals in the church, including as priests and lay leaders.

we covenant

We covenant both to “seek and serve Christ in all persons, loving your neighbor as yourself” and to “strive for justice and peace among all people, and respect the dignity of every human being.” Thus, we believe it is part of our call to work for racial justice, to provide meals and shelter to those experiencing homelessness, to advocate for the abolition of institutional violence.

we believe

We believe all people are made in the image of God and are invited to respond to the love of God. We respect other faith traditions and recognize that there are varied paths to unity with the Holy.

we profess

We are a community dedicated to deepening our relationship with God and embodying the Spirit of Christ through faithful expressions of love, service, compassion and justice.
