ST. NICHOLAS DAY FUN AND SUPPORT OF DIOCESE OF JERUSALEM

On Sunday, Dec. 10, St. Nicholas himself will make an appearance at St. Mark’s 10:00 liturgy – and if you leave shoes at the entry as you come into the church, you’ll find a treat afterwards (young and old alike)!

The offering received in the alms basin on this day goes to St. Mark’s continued support of the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem  (through AFED) serving people in Palestine, Israel, Jordan, and Lebanon through 27 parishes and more than two dozen humanitarian institutions – schools, hospitals, clinics, centers for children with disabilities, and homes for the elderly. The needs are urgent in this time.

Find out more about getting involved in this support from our dedicated longtime leadership, Lorna Paisley and Maureen Kennedy. Rev. Nancy (nancy@saint-marks.com) is glad to put you in touch with them, and there are AFED newsletters and brochures on the table in the narthex.
