Nick joined St. Mark’s as Interim Rector in August 2023. He provides day-to-day leadership for the parish and supports the vestry, staff, and ministry leaders during the season of transition. Nick felt a call to priesthood during his final year of college and pivoted from applications to graduate medical physics programs to applications for discernment and eventually seminary. Prior to seminary, Nick spent a year in HR and general merchandise for a start-up college bookstore. In 2013, Nick completed his M.Div from Virginia Theological Seminary and was ordained Deacon and Priest in the Episcopal Church. He served as curate and associate rector at St. Barnabas on the Desert, Scottsdale, AZ during which he earned a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from ASU. In 2017, he was called as Rector and Pastor of St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church and Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Albany, GA. There he served on the board of the Arc of Southwest Georgia and as Chaplain to the Rotary Club. In 2022, he moved to California to serve as Interim Rector at St. Timothy’s, Mountain View supporting the renewal of their ministry emerging from the pandemic. In February 2023, Nick commissioned as a Chaplain in the Air Force Reserve and continues this position commuting a few times a year to support the 99 Air Base Wing at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada.

Pictured here with Nick is his daughter Lillian, who is nine and lives with her mother in Pennsylvania, as well as his fiance Carey, who is a nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose. Lily joins Nick for the summer in California. Outside of parish life, Nick enjoys parenting, hiking, tennis, pickleball, theater, and hacking the In-N-Out Burger menu.
