Lector Enrichment and Training

Are you a lector? Would you like to be a lector? Members who proclaim the Word (the lessons from Scripture) are an important part of our worship each week! On Sunday Sept 18 at 11:30a, we will be gathering to support one another, and to teach those who would like to be a part of this ministry. Becca Davidson (M.Div. and S.T.M. in Liturgical Studies, Yale Divinity School), will lead us in reflecting on what we read and in practical aspects of being clearly heard and understood. Open to all, this training will be held just after the liturgy in the main church sanctuary. If you are a veteran lector, please come to share your wisdom. If you are new, please come to add your voice to our service.

We are excited to have Becca leading us! She has led previous lector trainings in other Bay area churches, and has served as the Chapel Minister at Yale Divinity School; Liturgical Coordinator and Pastoral Assistant for Liturgical Life at St. Thomas More Catholic Center; Rector of Breen-Phillips Hall at the University of Notre Dame; and Student Support Specialist at Mission College, Santa Clara; among other positions.
