The Becoming Beloved Community Task Force invites you to a Forum to discuss the 2022 documentary Descendant on September 24 at 11:30 a.m. in the Kennedy Room. This powerful film, directed by Margaret Brown, chronicles the story behind Africatown in Alabama – and the descendants of the last known enslaved Africans brought to the U.S. aboard the Clotilda, as they reclaim their story.
