Becoming Beloved Community Forum – Sunday, December 8

In an era where our baptismal covenant to “respect the dignity of every human being” may be challenged in difficult ways, the BBC Task Force will host a forum on Dec. 8 to discuss how we are feeling post-election and our commitment to Becoming a Beloved Community.

In addition to sharing our own thoughts, three speakers will very briefly address issues we might expect to arise in the coming months and potential actions that we might take to help others in our communities:

Professor Margalynne Armstrong on constitutional and legal issues

Katie Fantin of Abode Services on homelessness

Diane Guinta on how SURJ (Showing Up for Racial Justice) brings about political change at the local level.

A list of spiritual and practical resources will be provided.
