Holy Baptism is full initiation by water and the Holy Spirit into Christ’s Body the Church, a public statement in community of one’s intentional decision to follow the way of Jesus – and in the case of a child, the parents’ declaration of their intent to raise a child in the way of Jesus. In Baptism, we are given God’s own life to share and reminded that nothing can separate us from God’s love in Christ. All people of any age are welcome to be baptized.
