Twenty-seven St. Mark’s women gathered for the Spring Women’s Retreat: Women’s Spirituality: Mary Magdalene — and US! on April 13, with wonderful sharing, learning, laughing, and spirit-filled respite. Many thanks to Women’s Ministry lead Melodie Shubat, who organized such a wonderful day — that included delightful crafting of candles. With a closing ritual thanking God for the bold women in our lives, the retreat celebrated the ways women are both present, and hidden away, in the Gospels, but always close to Jesus.
