Jail Ministry

Led by Rev. Liz Milner, Saint Mark's sends trained volunteers to run programs in local jails through the Correctional Institutions Chaplaincy of Santa Clara County.

Currently, 27 St. Mark's volunteers run writing, art, and spiritual programs in the jail for over 250 participants. You can see their published books of art and writing on the Outreach table at St. Mark's.

Volunteer with the jail Ministry

Volunteers must complete the Going In, Staying In Jail Ministry Training.

Our next training will take place on Saturday, September 13 at 9:30-11:30am. It will be hosted at Trinity Church Menlo Park, 330 Ravenswood Ave.

Donate to the Jail Ministry

The men's writing group is always in need of black, lined Mead journals with stitched bindings. Unfortunately, we cannot accept notebooks in any other color or with staples or coils.

Throughout the year, we also collect cards for holidays such as Valentine's Day and Christmas for program members to send to loved ones.

You can donate items by leaving them on the outreach table at St. Mark's, or send financial support directly to the CIC program.
