I joined St. Mark’s in 1986, the same year Rev. Doss became rector. It was a turbulent time! My daughter, Amy was 2 years old. I was working for Palo Alto
Community Child Care as a center director in the afterschool program. As Amy and I settled into St. Mark’s, I taught Sunday School with Susan Pines.
Outreach is a main interest of mine and I was co-chair for about 10 years. When Rev. Matt McDermott was hired I was on the Vestry. I would like to be on the Vestry again to get to know and work with our new rector, whoever that may be. Being part of the St. Marks community has helped my faith and has provided support during many phases of my life and now I want to give back by being on the vestry.
