On the day we mark Christ’s crucifixion, suffering, and death, the noon service includes the solemn reading of the Passion from John’s Gospel and the distribution of Communion.

This brief service of the word focuses on Christ’s rest in the tomb and serves as a reflective prelude to the Great Vigil of Easter.

At the early morning service, we gather outside around a newly-kindled fire to proclaim through story and song that ours is a God who continuously brings life out of death, then enter the Church in triumph to celebrate the risen Christ and share Holy Communion.
