On this day the service begins outside as we commemorate Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem with a procession; the service concludes with the solemn reading of the Passion from Matthew’s Gospel. Children are especially welcome to participate by carrying the HOSANNA banner during the processional.

We gather to commemorate the Last Supper with a "monastic" style dinner in the Parish Hall from 6:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Supper is followed by a service in the Sanctuary beginning at 6:45 where we follow Christ’s example of servanthood by washing each other’s feet, and strip the altar in preparation for Good Friday. On the day we mark Christ’s crucifixion, suffering, and death, the noon service includes the solemn reading of the Passion from John’s Gospel and the distribution of Communion.
On the day we mark Christ’s crucifixion, suffering, and death, the 6:00 p.m. service uses Taizé chant to reflect on the Stations of the Cross.
This brief service of the word focuses on Christ’s rest in the tomb and serves as a reflective prelude to the Great Vigil of Easter.

At the early morning service, we gather outside around a newly-kindled fire to proclaim through story and song that ours is a God who continuously brings life out of death, then enter the Church in triumph to celebrate the risen Christ and share Holy Communion.
