Bloodmobile at St. Mark’s
St. Mark’s partnered with a student club at Palo Alto Senior High School and the Stanford Blood Center to host a blood drive on May 26th. We offered our parking lot to a bloodmobile that welcomed 25 donors, with seven of them as first time donors! There were three deferrals, and three double red cell donations, giving us 19 whole blood productive units and six double red units, for a total of 25 productive units. Since each whole blood donation is separated into three components, the 19 whole blood productive units impacted the lives of approximately 57 patients, plus the six from the double reds, for a total of 63 lives impacted by the lifesaving donations.
