Succulent Sale to Support Day Workers Center

Following our regular Saturday ICE patrol on April 11th, a few St. Mark’s parishioners will work from 8:30 to 10:30 alongside day workers transplanting succulents into small containers. This is part of a pilot program with the Day Workers Center intended to connect faith community members with older adult day laborers. Participants will plant succulent seedlings together and elder day laborers will receive stipends for their time and contributions.
On Sunday, April 12, the potted succulents will be available at St. Mark’s for sale. All proceeds will benefit the Day Workers Center.
This is more than a fundraiser — it is a chance to build bridges, honor the dignity of our elders, and grow something beautiful together. The goal is to create a sustainable source of income for the Day Workers Center and continue to grow projects that will build community at the center.
