When I was asked to write a short comment about gratitude for St. Mark’s, I thought “Oh no, how could I write a short statement about something that touches my heart so deeply?” A place where I have found my dearest friends, where there is a Memorial Garden for loved ones, where every Sunday one is challenged to think more deeply and widely by an extraordinary group of clergy and other people, where in this very needy world money can be given and one knows that it will be used wisely and truly get to helpful causes, where one can participate at whatever comfort level suits and feel like an important participant, where one can worship in a beautiful, peaceful place whenever. Well, I guess that’s my answer to why I feel gratitude for St. Mark’s!
