As a faith community, we pray during this election season for God’s wisdom, grace, and peace to guide our country. Beginning a week before election day (Tuesday, Oct 27th), the St. Mark’s chapel will be open for personal prayer. It will remain unlocked, and you are welcome to stop by anytime. Masks must be worn. If someone is already inside, we ask that you please wait until they have finished. Only one household group should be in the space at time. Should you wish to use one, you must bring your own prayer book.
In keeping with the wider Episcopal Church, which has called for a special period of prayer devotion from Oct 27 – Nov 4, we will have copies of Forward Movement’s “Season of Prayer” collects for these days. Other prayer bulletins will be available as well. If you use one, we urge you to keep it and continue to pray with it at home (or you may recycle it in the bin provided, but please do not leave it out for anyone else to pick up).
Next week, we will have more information about a special 24 hour election day vigil from 7am Nov 3. to 7am Nov 4.
