New Sacred Ground Circles Forming this Fall

This past year, 50 of us at St. Mark’s studied and prayed about racism in America using the Episcopal Church’s Sacred Ground Curriculum.

Led by a St. Mark’s facilitator and co-facilitator, we worked together in Circles of 6-10 people on ZOOM from September to June. This September, we will be meeting outdoors as a group of 50 to discern together what our next steps are. We will share our thoughts and hopes for the future with the parish.

This Fall, we will be again offering the opportunity to learn and pray together with a new Sacred Ground Circle (or two). There are 10 two hour discussion sessions and the preparation per session requires ~4 hours via video watching and reading.  We will meet every 2-4 weeks, depending on the group’s needs and preferences.

If you are interested in being part of a Sacred Ground circle beginning this October, please email Diane Guinta at by September 3 and indicate whether you would be available on a weekday morning (10 AM-noon), afternoon (2-4 PM) or evening (7-9 PM). The expectation is that you will attend every session and come prepared to each session.  We are looking forward to hearing from you!  Your Sacred Ground Facilitator Group
