I grew up in a Roman Catholic family of eight children in northern Ohio, and hitch hiked to California at age 20 with no idea I’d stay! I was active in the Catholic Search community and music ministries. After graduating from San Francisco State University in 1982, I was introduced to the outreach ministries of the Episcopal Church (a youth work project in Ireland), liked what I learned about the Anglican Tradition, and attended seminary at CDSP in Berkeley. My early focus was on young adult and youth ministries and I served as Assistant Rector at St. Stephen’s in Orinda and at Holy Trinity, Menlo Park. I was called to be Rector by the people of St. Mark’s in 1995. I have been married to LeeAnne for over 35 years and together we have raised three children in Palo Alto, and have been blessed with a granddaughter as well. In my free time I enjoy cycling, hiking and traveling with family and friends.
