The wonderful events to honor the Rev. Matt McDermott as he retired were a true celebration of his ministry, and of the bonds of community here at St. Mark’s! A huge thank you for coordinating all of the planning and moving parts goes to the co-chairs of the Transition Committee, Anne Callhan and Peter Kidder, and committee members Anne Anderson, Mildred Jones, and Jonathan Luk – and all of the people who worked with them in so many ways. From the dinner and picnic to gifts and strategy, they have helped this community walk toward transition with grace and full hearts. The Transition Committee’s contributions included the significant work to plan for our new Interim Rector Nick Roosevelt to join us, and we are blessed with his presence. Thank you to the whole team!
