Thank you for your well wishes and prayers for Carey and I during our recent time away celebrating our marriage with family and friends in Savannah, GA!
I was so glad to be back this Sunday to hear our own Jessica Shambora offer her stirring homily and invitation to the 2024 Pledge Campaign: Forward in Faith. I also heard and saw how much the parish retreat blessed those of you able to attend, and I’m thankful to Rev. Nancy and the entire retreat team for their ministry. We’ve moved into the Rectory over the past few days and are settling in with much gratitude to the Buildings and Grounds Commission for their faithfulness and care with this transition.
As a reminder, I will be attending Officer Training School with the Air Force from October 23 – December 23 at Maxwell AFB in Montgomery, Alabama. I’m thankful for the planning of your wardens, vestry, and staff team and their commitment to you and to the Gospel for this time. I know you will be looking for how to help and support them as well. I will return just in time for Christmas here at St. Mark’s, which brings joy to my heart!
As I remember you in my prayers each day, I’m thankful to God for the gift of your presence and ministry here at St. Mark’s. See you this Sunday, October 22 for worship and our Stewardship Brunch following the 10:00 AM service.!
