The Becoming Beloved Community Task Force invites you to a Forum on November 12 at 11:30am to continue the discussion of reparations that we began last spring. We started in June with a consideration of the framework put forward by Peter Jarrett-Schell in his book, Reparations, A Plan for Churches, and continued in October with a discussion of the Netflix documentary Descendant. On November 12, we will describe two of our new initiatives, a history of how Saint Mark’s was financed and a speaker series, and we will provide a brief update on the California Reparations Task Force. The focus of the conversation will be sharing our thoughts about the process we are engaging in and the larger issue of reparations.
