Food Closet History:
The Food Closet was founded in 1976 by Patsy McAfee, a longtime member of All Saints’ Church. The Food Closet is housed at All Saints’ primarily because Patsy, a long-time All Saints’ parishioner, saw a need, and gathered others to help make it a reality. Before the "new " All Saint’s Parish Hall was built in the 1990’s, the Food Closet operated out of the Parish Office; it now is a tenant with its own dedicated space designed as a permanent part of the Parish Hall. All Saints’ parishioners, Downtown Streets Team members, along with other community members, serve as regular volunteers at the Food Closet; others donate in response to weekly email or newsletter alerts listing the most needed food supplies.

Regular Staples on the donation list: Each week St Mark's updates the current donations request provided by one of the Food Closet Managers. Those are urgent requests for items that are in short supply, but in high demand of the customers: Click here for that list.

Don’t feel left out if you can’t leave your home to deliver goods – there is another way you can help. You can donate by check as well to purchase shortfall items that are needed. Please write a check to the Downtown Streets Team, and write in the memo line “For Food Closet”. Checks can be mailed to:
