Food Closet – Urgent Request Donations List

Drop Off Your Donations at St. Mark’s and How to Do Donations by Check:The Food Closet Donation Baskets are again available to be filled with your donations during the Sunday worship services. They are located outside the church next to the east doors. Last week the Food Closet Baskets were exploding with all variety of donations for the Food Closet.  For the first time I can recall the Food Closet is now literally overstocked with non-perishable food donations. One reason is Second Harvest the main donor is finally being well supported and able to meet the needs of the Bay Area food panties it serves.  But there are still gap needs that St. Mark’s can fill – that’s our mission doing our best to help bridge the unmet needs of the Food Closet’s customers as best we can.  So – now we shift to non-food needs. These will change week to week and this notice will keep you updated

Please note: If you wish you can still drop off donations at the Food Closet directly. The Diocese allows food pantries to remain open during Covid. All Saints Food Closet is taking precautions to protect staff, volunteers, customers and donors using a protocol from Second Harvest, the main Food Closet donor.  The Food Closet address and hours are: 555 Waverley St., Palo Alto – M, T, W, F: 9 am-2:30 pm Thursday: 9 am to 6:30 pm. Donations can be dropped off via the blue side door that opens onto Hamilton Street. Please call ahead – (650) 325-3663 to let them know you are coming.

**Important**: Please do not drop off food after hours – it brings up a variety of concerns as people apparently congregate unsafely after hours to go through the food.

Donating by Check: You can also donate by check. Check donations will be used to purchase needed shortfall items. Please write a check to the Downtown Streets Team, and write in the memo line “For Food Closet”. Checks can be mailed to:
