food closet: top needs this week

Urgent Need for Drop Off Donations

Team up with the St. Mark’s Outreach Alliance in supporting the All Saints Food Closet with your donations. Please, check here each week to see the top needed items. Cash donations are also greatly appreciated and are used to purchase: bread, fresh eggs, mayonnaise packets and/or zip lock bags.

Greetings Super Shoppers: Please, if you can donate now the need is urgent – bare shelves are occurring at the Food Closet and the customers are steadily increasing now. The Diocal News guidance during the Corona virus Outbreak allows food pantries to remain open – if they can meet certain criteria. To this point the All Saints Food Closet has been taking precautions to protect staff, volunteers, customers and donors using a protocol from Second Harvest. It appears that the All Saint’s Food Closet is presently the only one open in this area. Second Harvest’s stock is still depleting – so our donations are needed now more than ever.

Meanwhile, since the church is closed – no donations should be left there until services can be commenced. Therefore, if you can, please deliver your donations directly at the All Saint’s Food Closet, 555 Waverley St, Palo Alto- M, T, W, F: 9 am-2:30 pm Thursday: 9 am to 6:30 pm via the blue side door that opens on to Hamilton Street. Please call ahead – (650) 325-3663 to let them know you are coming.

Always Needed: non-grocery items – quart size ziplock bags, twist ties, rubber bands, scissors, dish detergent, Fabuloso cleaner, hand sanitizer.
