Continued Need for Drop Off and Donations by Check The Food Closet sends even more thanks – noting the unprecedented outpouring of donations this year. Thankfully, the Food Closet shelves continue to be amply stocked. You’ll see below that there are fewer food items at this time – as listed below – still housekeeping items are always welcome.
The Diocese allows food pantries to remain open. All Saints Food Closet is taking precautions to protect staff, volunteers, customers and donors using a protocol from Second Harvest, the main Food Closet donor.
Meanwhile, since St. Mark’s church is closed – no donations should be left there until services can be commenced. Therefore, if you can, please deliver your donations directly at the All Saint’s Food Closet, 555 Waverley St, Palo Alto- M, T, W, F: 9 am-2:30 pm Thursday: 9 am to 6:30 pm via the blue side door that opens on to Hamilton Street. Please call ahead – (650) 325-3663 to let them know you are coming.
****Important****: Please do not drop off food after hours – it brings up a variety of concerns as people apparently congregate unsafely after hours to go through the food. Also – donors: please check the expiration dates of the groceries you donate. We appreciate your generosity, but have to discard any outdated items. Thank you.
Don’t feel left out if you can’t leave your home to deliver goods – there is another way you can help. You can donate by check as well. Check donations will be used to purchase needed shortfall items. Please write a check to the Downtown Streets Team, and write in the memo line “For Food Closet”. Checks can be mailed to:
