But what did John imagine? Who was he writing for and why? And what’s the deal with all the hideous horned beasts? DESCRIPTION:Harpsichord Recital – Baroque Music from France\, Germany & the Netherlands \nThis harpsichord recital features vibrant Baroque music\, ranging from elegant French dance movements and refined ornamentation to the rich counterpoint and brilliance of the German and Dutch keyboard traditions. \nIn addition to solo harpsichord repertoire\, the concert will also include a trio sonata performed with two viola da gamba players\, bringing the warm and intimate character of Baroque chamber music to life. \nThe performance will be presented on a German Hass-style harpsichord\, built in Aptos\, California in 1979. Known for its full resonance and clarity\, this instrument allows both delicate French pieces and grand German works shine with different colors and character. Because Baroque music was shaped not only by national traditions but also by different historical periods\, today’s program spans the early\, middle\, and late Baroque eras\, allowing audiences to hear the distinctive voices of each country and how musical styles change over time.

Come and find out in our Eastertide Bible Study on the The Book of Acts\, which picks up where the Gospels leave off and describes how the early church\, empowered by the Holy Spirit\, moved out into the wider world to share the Good News of hope and new life.\n\n\n\nWe will gather for this intergenerational Bible study at 9am on April 19th and 26th\, and May 3rd and 10th. Children and teens are welcome to come and join the conversation!

DESCRIPTION:Holy Listening: The Practice of Spiritual Discernment\n\n\nHow do we cultivate an awareness of God’s presence as we navigate complex life decisions?  How do we pray about the choices facing us\, and find clarity amidst transition and uncertainty?  If these questions are alive in you right now\, we invite you to join our Eastertide Discernment Group.  Over the course of four Sundays\, we will consider together how to recognize God’s voice as we navigate challenging life decisions around vocation\, ministry\, or personal life.\n\n\nThe group will be led by Rev. Kirsten and Rev. Debie\, and will meet after church from 11:45am to 12:30pm on April 19th and 26th\, and May 3rd and 10th. We ask that participants commit as much as possible to all four weeks\, so that we can provide mutual support to one another as we work on our own discernment questions.\n\nTo join the group\, please email Rev.
