Kirsten Spalding will be offering a prayer at the Interfaith National Day of Prayers\, Meditation and Peace on May 7th\, 7:00 p.m. at The Episcopal Church of the Epiphany.  \n\n\nThe MidPeninsula Interfaith Support Group is holding a National Day of Prayers\, Meditation and Peace service on Thursday May 7th at 7 p.m. at The Episcopal Church of the Epiphany in San Carlos.\n\nWe use the plural “Prayers” to recognize our diverse faith traditions while simultaneously seeking to understand and Cooperate for the Common Good.  The service will feature readings\, prayers\, reflections and music\, including Hina Ma Tov (Behold How Good)\, Kum Bah Yah (Come by Here\, Lord)\, The Prayer\, Let There Be Peace on Earth and For the Beauty of the Earth. \n\nPlease contact Rev. DESCRIPTION:Harpsichord Recital – Baroque Music from France\, Germany & the Netherlands \nThis harpsichord recital features vibrant Baroque music\, ranging from elegant French dance movements and refined ornamentation to the rich counterpoint and brilliance of the German and Dutch keyboard traditions. \nIn addition to solo harpsichord repertoire\, the concert will also include a trio sonata performed with two viola da gamba players\, bringing the warm and intimate character of Baroque chamber music to life. \nThe performance will be presented on a German Hass-style harpsichord\, built in Aptos\, California in 1979. Known for its full resonance and clarity\, this instrument allows both delicate French pieces and grand German works shine with different colors and character. Because Baroque music was shaped not only by national traditions but also by different historical periods\, today’s program spans the early\, middle\, and late Baroque eras\, allowing audiences to hear the distinctive voices of each country and how musical styles change over time.
