Mystic Contemplation in Stillness

MCIS offers an opportunity each Sunday to sit in stillness to contemplate the wisdom of diverse mystical traditions. We gather about 9:15 in the Kennedy Room on Sundays and wrap up about 9:45, which should be enough time to get to the service afterwards. We are currently working through The Essential Mystics, a collection of short excerpts from various mystical traditions, and read one excerpt each week before entering stillness. We conclude with a prayer or passage from the Book of Common Prayer.
