Drop Off Your Donations at St. Mark’s and How to Do Donations by Check

Drop Off Your Donations at St. Mark’s and How to Do Donations by Check: The Food Closet Donation Baskets are again available to be filled with your donations during the Sunday worship services. They are located outside the church next to the east doors.  This week the list includes some food items again. See below for the list.  Also, unfortunately, some sad news — last week Food Closet Volunteer Manager Shirley Reiter had a heart attack while doing her Food Closet shift. She is home resting comfortably now and we all hope for a successful operation and a speedy recovery.  She exemplifies the heart of the Food Closet – please remember her in your prayers or if you can – drop off a  a get well card for her in the Food Closet donations basket.

Please note: If you wish you can still drop off donations at the Food Closet directly. The Diocese allows food pantries to remain open during Covid. All Saints Food Closet is taking precautions to protect staff, volunteers, customers and donors using a protocol from Second Harvest, the main Food Closet donor.  The Food Closet address and hours are: 555 Waverley St., Palo Alto – M, T, W, F: 9 am-2:30 pm Thursday: 9 am to 6:30 pm. Donations can be dropped off via the blue side door that opens onto Hamilton Street. Please call ahead – (650) 325-3663 to let them know you are coming.

**Important**: Please do not drop off food after hours – it brings up a variety of concerns as people apparently congregate unsafely after hours to go through the food.

Donating by Check: You can also donate by check. Check donations will be used to purchase needed shortfall items. Please write a check to the Downtown Streets Team, and write in the memo line “For Food Closet”. Checks can be mailed to:
