Community Faire Series

Come one, come all! We are looking forward to beginning to re-gather following a summer of a bit more travel, a bit more socializing and a bit less lock-down.

This year we are taking a new approach to our traditional Community Faire. Instead of hosting a single-Sunday event to kick off our programmatic year, we are planning a fun series of 5 Sundays from late August to early October. Each Sunday we will highlight a different area of ministry in which our community is engaged, provide information about what the commission does and share opportunities for your participation.

On each of these Sundays, we will gather together to celebrate the eucharist followed by a short amount of time to learn about the ministries of St. Marks during announcements. After the service we’ll enjoy food, music, or games (for young and old alike) and you’ll be able to ask questions of the commission representatives. If you decide you are interested in a particular commission, you’ll be able to sign up to participate.

These Sundays will be ideal opportunities to invite friends and neighbors who might be interested in learning more about St. Marks. We are an active and loving community of faith just waiting to welcome your presence among us!

So mark your calendars and prepare to join us on the patio. We are continuing to employ safe practices related to Covid-19, following the recommendations of county authorities.

Our First Sunday will be August 29 and will feature Liturgy Commission Leaders, including Lectors, Greeters, Techs, Flower Guild, Altar Guild, Acolytes/Servers, Membership and Family Choir. Our very own Parish Jazz Band will play and the Membership Commission will be providing Ice Cream!

Subsequent Welcome Sundays will be: September 12, September 19, September 26, and October 3. Watch for further details upcoming in the Messenger, on the Website and on Facebook.
