Throughout the year various opportunities for education and conversation are offered by a wide variety of parishioners and friends of St. Mark’s. Below are the most common of our offerings.
50 Minute Forums
The 50 Minute Forums take place at 11:30 Sunday mornings and are events focused on a particular topic presented in a lecture/discussion format. Topics are generally in the genre of religion and popular culture and provide a space for questioning and dialogue on the Church’s role in society and society’s impact on the Church.
For current Forum offerings, please see the latest issue of our weekly email.
Twice a year we offer a course for those interested in learning more about the Anglican Communion, the Episcopal Church, and St. Mark’s. This course explores the history of our church, our participation in the wider church, the background and meaning of our worship, and ethical living.
Adult Small Groups
One of the most helpful ways of being a Christian in today’s world is to engage in relationships with others in one’s Christian community. For many, these relationships are sustained through a small group interaction that both deepens and expands the spiritual life. The group gathers, and while using a fairly loose structure, shares with one another their own experiences and supports each other in their spiritual journey.
Please contact any clergy member to learn more about our small group offerings.
